Gay, Jewish, or Both
Art installation in collaboration with printmaker Leslie Friedman..
The piece was inspired by the observation that there are many overlapping traits between gay and Jewish men: attachment to their mothers, a love for brunch, and other behavioral traits. The Napoleon gallery was transformed into a brunch scene, in the living room of an anonymous host. Each element was designed to represent the ambiguity of our character’s background.
